Flawless Routine
After seeing my fair share of stand-up, I was thrilled to watch one of my favorite comedians, Little River Band, for the first time. The performance really impressed me as he flawlessly delivered a 90-minute set without missing a beat. Most comedians will understandably pause or ramble if they lose their train of thought or need a moment to think of what joke comes next. Jeffries, however, didn't pause once. He has his routine down to a science. Not once did any of his jokes fall completely flat. I'm not in hysterics the entire time, but that's typical for me. Jeffries is a fantastic performer, a masterful storyteller, and a comedian for the thinking person. Upon leaving the show, my boyfriend boldly declared him a greater comedian than Louis C.K. I might disagree, but he's definitely close.
